"I bow to the sky, which gives life to all living things."

This is a day late post, but living zombie is probably the accurate description of who I was yesterday. I wrote a long personal journal about the breakup, so note to future self - refer to that if you are interested.

I think it is important to set a daily routine to stick to when dealing with a grief like this. Nothing too challenging, but full of self-care. Example would be making sure to:

  • Take a shower and do skin care routine in the morning.

  • Eat regularly, although you may not have an appetite.

  • Do a light physical activity - especially a walk outside if weather is nice out.

  • Stay hydrated

  • Talk to family, friends, or any others who care about you

"I bow to the earth, which feeds all living things."

Maybe yesterday was the calm before the storm. I did not expect to end things with my girlfriend this soon, especially when nothing was going wrong between us. I definitely learned a lot from this relationship, and things will get better, but it still sucks at the moment.

Let the time naturally heal you, and let this be a chance to discover yourself even more. Knowing what you like is another key to be happy. Yes, how nice of a person is good indicator of a good partner, but if you two do not click, there is nothing you can do.

Aside from this heartbreaking news, I got to be more handy today by figuring out how to deal with power outage. I also got to meet the new neighbour family who was extremely down to earth, and willing for me to be part of the neighbourhood. I felt very welcomed.

Lastly, a note to self. Hang in there. Take this time to focus on yourself, and discover what you like and do not like. This moment will allow you to know yourself better, and that will help you pick out a better partner in the future. Even though you may think like you will never find someone better, eventually you will. Especially if YOU become a better person. She taught you a lot about what being in a healthy relationship is like.

"I bow to give thanks for the mountains and landscapes that speak to me through wind and snow."

This was one of the calmest days I have had in a while. I am still getting used to the house, the neighbourhood, and the phase in life, but it is starting to form its shape. In hindsight, I think I presented myself too much chaos too fast. My life was getting too much in order for some time, so some chaos was needed for me to grow, though.

So my focus now should be putting my life back in order. That means,

  • Settle in properly

  • Set a new routine that aligns with my current environment

  • Be more present in the moment

  • Do less things, but better (and then slowly add new things to work on)

What should take priority at this time is:

  • Self-care routine (gym, meal prep, taking time to recharge on your own)

  • Work (my brand reputation took a little hit while you were unstable during the moving process. Time to rebuild the premium brand)

  • Relationships (pick who you want to focus spending time with, and be PRESENT when you spend time with them)
