"I bow to think about who I am"

Day started off a little rocky with jet-lag still looming around. I opened my eyes and saw the clock flashing 3:56 am. Not bad. I began by planning out my day in my head and made few adjustments on the website. Luckily I fell back asleep and woke up around 10 am.

Studying/reading part of the challenge took the most effort for me in the past few days, so I started my day with completing that first. Followed by 1 hour of study time, I got over with my physical activity requirement right after. Weekend requires A LOT of self-discipline as it is easier to procrastinate due to abundance of freedom. I find that completing as many requirements as fast as possible on weekends is a trick to stay consistent with this challenge. This way you still get to spend time with your loved ones if needed (that last minute coffee date, because let's be honest, girls can be flaky 😜).

The RE investment talk session gave me ton of knowledge to invest in Toronto residential market, and I am excited to move forward with the big change. I just think there are much more upside to being in a residential home than in a condo (think minor zoning changes to put an extra floor or Additional Dwelling Units).

Our first newsletter will be published this week.

"I bow to appreciate my parents for giving birth to me"

Despite suffering from crippling jet-lag, I decided to take advantage of the fact that I was up so early. I began by further finalizing the website, and my daily routine to complete this 108 challenge. I find that we can operate more efficiently when we have a schedule to stick to. Frees our energy from thinking what to do next or throughout the day.

I had not been to my commercial gym yet this year, so I decided to do my daily exercise there and then head over to the office to get reading/studying done. Both sessions were effective.

Catching up with friends are not part of the requirement, but I am inclined to include this into the next challenge if I ever do one. I am starting to learn that staying connected by reaching out to people you care about goes a long way. Even if it is just a single text or a quick phone call. You also do not know where the conversation may take you. Today while I was catching up with one of my friends, I got to share my real estate investment plan. We ended up scheduling a meeting to analyze couple properties together.

Should've/Would've/Could've

-- Focused too much on getting things done, my meal#3 got pushed 2 hours. Will need to plan the day better on weekends to stay consistent with meal time.

-- House needs more of my love. Been prolonging the cleaning in certain areas and place is getting progressively messier. Perhaps a deep cleaning tomorrow instead of going out.

"I bow to think about where I came from and where I am and where I am going."

First day of any challenges can be tough, but this one was extra.

I'm fresh off of a 2-week vacation, barely adjusting to this timezone, and I was about to add a foreign routine to my daily life.

Having done the 75 Hard Challenge, and this new challenge being similar to it, I thought it will be a smooth integration. In reality, it was not.

The toughest part was the study (my reading portion of the challenge) after being up since 3am and finishing my 9-5 job.

The day did not go how I planned, but I completed all my tasks.

Should've/Would've/Could've

-- Still feeling unsettling from food poisoning, but I managed to be in caloric surplus on healthy meals. I had to eat more at lunch and skip dinner though. More consistent eating schedule will be nice.

-- I failed to make daily market digest yesterday since I passed out immediately after the study. Despite it not being a requirement for this challenge, I still would like to continue to post these out of my personal interest. Need to find a way to stay consistent.
