"I bow to reflect that life is more valuable than anything else."

This morning began with a little bit of chaos as I had to move from one establishment to another to have my house available for viewers. As I was in a Uber ride to work with 3 bags I realize how grateful I should be to have a home. Having to pack and run around from one place to another often is not a pleasant experience. I truly feel that everyone who has roof over their heads should be grateful to have a place they can be present when they want.


I got most of the studying done at work today, so I could have a relaxing evening. I went to the gym as part of my meditation process and got to enjoy some hotel amenities - steam room, hot tub, and a healthy & delicious meal.


If there is one thing I would like to remind myself, it would be that it does not take much to be happy for me. Lately, implementing these buddhist prayers had made me appreciate life easily and more.

"I bow to have the power to control my desires."

Slight lack of sleep this morning, but I got through the day fine. I studied quite a lot today and I am very proud of myself for that. I committed to a set date for an exam, and I now have 2 weeks to prepare.


I also got to go over some more numbers with my friend on the real estate deal, and we came to conclusion that it is best to stick with my latest plan.


Today, my major focus was on the studying, so I am mostly grateful that I have a healthy mind and body to continue living. For remainder of the day, I will focus on the recovery and recharge. That way I get to live another purposeful life tomorrow the best I can.

"I bow to try not to obtain valuable things with little effort."

I woke up an hour earlier than usual, because I had to get studying and exercising done before my work is over today. I am not a huge fan of lifting heavy weights in the morning, simply because I cannot lift as heavy as I would later in the day. However, I want to make the most of my evenings with spending quality time with my loved one, so it must be done in the morning.


It almost marks the exact one year since I joined this gym, and it amazes me that I see certain group of people every time I show up. I have a huge respect to those who choose to put work on themselves like me, and they deserve that. One of the guys came up to me today and showed respect for both of us for showing up, and I quote, "lifting some serious weights this early in the morning." I complemented his work ethic and strength as well. This positive interaction put my day in a good start.


Thanks to my quick preparation shopping (mostly roses) yesterday, I was able to throw together a surprise for the evening. I still forgot to pick up few minor things, so we had to go grab few things together. I still managed to surprise her. The rest of the evening was full of getting to know each other more, and realizing how great people each of us are. I am so thankful for meeting and having her in my life. This one is definitely not an ordinary relationship.


I just have to remind myself to not fall back into my old bad habits, and continue to focus on self-growth. Keep simplifying life, and do better in less things.
