"I bow to be able to always love my family"

Extreme caffeine intake from the day before certainly affected quality of my sleep. I stayed in bed until 6:30 instead of getting some readings done in the morning.

Day was not special at all except that I felt really confident today. That must have helped me breakthrough personal record on squat. Otherwise, from the morning till now I had just been checking off the list of tasks I laid out for myself to do.

Just staying consistent.

Should've/Would've/Could've

-- I should've done some reading in the morning to free up my evenings. By the time I finished with the gym and studying I am exhausted and ready for bed.

"I bow to think about how much I love myself"

Another day of just GETTING SHIT DONE. Since today's prayer focuses on self-care, let me remind myself how I took care of ME.

I prepped to onboard a new client in the morning, then went to get a skincare treatment done. Then I went to school where I would be presenting a Financial Literacy seminar early to catch up with a teacher who was hosing me. Connecting with others is one of basic ways to be happy.

Once seminar was over, I had a chat with co-presenter while I was doing some self-reflection. We noticed that I was stressing or putting an unnecessary urgency on my real estate deal acting as if I am being evicted. In reality, I have a full control of when I decide to move, and worrying about realtor not getting the deal closed should not come first.

Let this be your reminder as well. SAVE YOURSELF FIRST. If you are not happy, you cannot make other people happy.

-- I did not end up creating pitch deck last night. It is good to set goals and achieve them, but set realistic goals and allow myself to recharge.

"I bow to give thanks for being alive"

I am thankful for being alive. Probably not in the way these Buddhists want though. I was not having a panic attack per-say, but I was able to imagine what it would be like. I have overwhelming amount of projects going on, both personally and professionally.

I kept getting distracted by other pending tasks while I was reading and studying. However, I have achieved peace by writing things down as those thoughts intruded my mind. Then, assessing the urgency, and lay out strategies to complete those tasks. This method was extremely effective, because

  1. I was able to view what the upcoming tasks are all in one sight versus my mind constantly searching and storing them in my memory.

  2. Two of those tasks did not require my attention TODAY at all, so I was able to forget about them. (so I can focus on what matters)

  3. I was able to cross out tasks, thus giving me a sense of accomplishment (dopamine release to reward myself on a good behaviour)

Today's MVP... Caffeine

Although I am mildly stressed about how many moving parts are on my plate, I feel happy when I get them done. I also noticed I only spend 1 or 2 hours a day MAX on resting mindlessly. This number used to be 5+, and on some weekends 10+! I just have to be really careful of not burning out, and maintain this new man's pace of productivity.

Should've/Would've/Could've

-- I need to figure out how to focus on single task better. The biggest struggle is when I am studying. I got overwhelmed by other pending tasks, I was not having effective sessions. At one point I had to remind myself that I am ahead of my study schedule to not stress about the effectiveness. What's more important is staying consistent.
