"I bow to control my mind, not be controlled by it."
The morning was a little slow, due to the staying up late and some drinking, but I managed to pull myself out of bed and completed all the daily routine. Weekends are when I can truly test myself whether I can work for myself or not. If I cannot get things done with all the freedom I have, I am simply not ready to be self-employed.
Another requirement to be self-employed would be "can you produce on a regular basis?" Since we live in a capitalist society, we are naturally rewarded by our productivity output. The more productive we are to the society, the more money we will get. Simple. To prepare for this, I am currently writing a journal every day and will turn it into creating something that is more useful to the broader market.
Reminder to self: make sure you acknowledge the peace and order in mind that comes from having a permanent roof over your head. Moving is extremely stressful, and having a place you call home brings much needed order in your chaotic life. You will be able to focus better on other things that matter to you.
Also, the longer I live with only the essentials (a little less than that, maybe) the more I realize how little I need to survive. I am now more mindful of owning things, and starting to see the benefits of owning less. There certainly are things that are better owned (e.g. your own home). Being able to distinguish better-to-own objects versus nice-to-have's is what I need to improve on.
