A lot to unpack today, but let's start with the lunch. I had a lunch date with my girlfriend, and this was probably my first proper long lunch of the year. My boss was excited for me to finally take a proper break for once.


I thoroughly enjoyed my time with her, and we each got to celebrate (her new job and my condo sale). We got to know each other better, especially why we both fell for each other, and that was refreshing to hear the other side of the story.

Unfortunately (fortunate that we get along so well that we forgot about time), we had to cut our discussion short and head back to work.

My gym session was a little unique today in a sense that I kept pushing myself beyond failure. I had to get help twice, because I got stuck under the weights while lifting today. I will have to start asking for spots in the future.


As I was entering into second half of my workout, my girlfriend and I wanted to walk outside after her work, so I had to cut my workout short. However, it was not a concern to me, since I knew I was about to get at least an hour of walking in with her. Boy, was I wrong. We ended up walking for over 3.5 hours outside continuing the discussion over lunch. I am glad that I did this though, as I got to learn new vocabulary, introspection, another word for self-reflection. Plus I got to know her better, and how to strengthen our relationship. Quality time and open communication were key ingredients to today's successful date.
